Here’s hoping GSC Game World will be at a place where they can continue the development of STALKER 2 soon. Not that a video game matters that much in the big picture right now, but a return to relative normalcy for GSC can only be a good thing. As reported by Reddit user OdahP on the StarfieldAlliance subreddit, Bethesda Game Studios’ graphics programmer Germain Mazac confirmed on his LinkedIn profile that the game will feature RTX integration, meaning that it will support features that are exclusive to the NVIDIA RTX GPUs such as DLSS, RTX Global Illumination, and Direct Illumination and others. Which features will be supported specifically remains to be seen, but we are sure to learn more about that in the weeks before launch....

A Russian military blogger will start testing kits to detect Space Exploration Technologies Corporation’s (SpaceX) Starlink satellite internet terminals. These detection kits are manufactured by an arms factory that is located in a district of Russia’s St. Petersburg, according to a website dedicated solely to marketing them. This website, combined with a military blogger announcing on Telegram that these kits will be used on the battlefield, comes as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is about to enter its first new year....

In a blog post on Steam, Valve mentions that production is actually going faster than expected and will move some reservations up. Some of the Q4 2022 (October 2022 ~ December 2022) reservations will be moved up to Q3 (July 2022 ~ September 2022). That means that you may very well get your console sooner than initially anticipated. The blog post continues, as well. Everyone else beyond Q4 2022 has been moved back into the Q4 2022 timeframe, and newer reservations will be in that Q4 2022 timeframe....

In the past few days, Capcom shared two new images that provide more details on the new Modern Control Type. With it, players will be able to unleash special moves by simply pressing a single directional input and a button, and Assisted Combos with a few button presses. It is not yet clear if there will be some sort of penalty for using the Modern Control Type, although it is likely that it won’t allow players to perform the most complicated combos, given how this control type doesn’t seem to differentiate between punches and kicks....

The first time I ran the testing tool at 4K with max settings, the result was a stuttering mess that averaged only 45,2 frames per second on a very powerful configuration (Intel i7 12700KF, RTX 4090)....
