SEGA and Atlus confirmed at the end of today’s Nintendo Direct Mini that the three main entries in the series will start releasing on Nintendo Switch this October, with Persona 5 Royal launching on October 21st complete with all DLC released for the original PlayStation 4 release. A release date for the other two games has yet to be confirmed. Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable are also releasing on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles in the future....

With that said, no game is complete with its full roster, and developer MAGES is revealing the final two characters for the game’s launch roster, being Maestra, and Artifactor. Both characters will round the game’s roster out to about 20 at launch, a modest number, not too small, like Street Fighter V’s launch, nor is it absolutely massive like Smash Ultimate’s roster of 70 at launch. Maestra and Artifactor come with a brand-new gameplay trailer, and you can watch that below....

The hype that was driven behind this series is not to be underestimated either, as it has been stated that this project will “shape the Silent Hill canon.” Is this a good thing? Of course, it is! Because that means that Konami is willing to essentially start experimenting with new things again, allowing people to experience horror in new ways that will make them shake in their boots. Perhaps I am naive, but I believe that the people working on this project understand what Silent Hill is and, more importantly, what the fanbase wants from it....
