Since we at iTechtics also use these management interfaces regularly, this post discusses 10 of our most-used and handy Microsoft Management Consoles (MMC) and what they can be used for. Moreover, all of these are also pre-installed in Windows 10 as well, having the same interface and functions. There are a total of 22 management consoles and 18 Control Panel files in Windows. Each of these performs a different function while some consoles include a combination of the other ones....

The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has approved more capital expenditures in order to expand its chip fabrication capacity. TSMC is the world’s largest contract semiconductor manufacturer, and the company is now facing competition from U.S. chip giant Intel Corporation who also plans to enter the market. Intel saw its cash flows drop last year as it committed billions of dollars to build new plants. With today’s approval, TSMC has allocated a little over half of its fiscal year 2022 capital expenditure which the company announced at its latest earnings call held last month....

The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is reportedly facing difficulties with its next-generation 3-nanometer (nm) semiconductor fabrication process. In the wake of the ongoing crisis in Europe, the United States Department of Commerce announced a broad set of sanctions against the Russian Federation late last week. These sanctions will amend several portions of U.S. law and make the criteria of approval of transfer of equipment to Russia significantly more stringent than the old rules. The sanctions are targeted primarily at the Russian government, military and associated entities, and they cover a large variety of items, several of them technological, in order to prevent Russian military and intelligence services from developing new capabilities and degrade existing ones....

The EU talked back in September 2021 that it wants to force manufacturers to use a standardized charging interface for both smartphones and tablets. Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) for the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee (IMCO) have now voted 43-2 to expand the initial proposal to include additional devices such as laptops, handheld gaming consoles, cameras, and more. This is an optional update that Microsoft has released via the “seeker” experience in Windows Update. This means that Microsoft is now evaluating this release for “Release to Manufacturing (RTM),” which essentially means that it is being finalized for the consumers as well as the OEMs. Furthermore, Microsoft has also released an ISO for this build, using which you can perform a clean install and test out Windows 11 22H2 beforehand. Following the release of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, a very unique take on the Soulslike formula enriched by mechanics borrowed from the Final Fantasy series, the Japanese studio revealed Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, another action game that blends together Team Ninja’s action games’ expertise with a setting that is synonymous with publisher Koei Tecmo: the Three Kingdoms era. How well the two will blend remains to be seen, but the recently released playable demo did show how the game will be quite different from recent games made by the studio, although their trademark mechanics still play a part in the Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty experience....

Microsoft’s win comes about due to the relative availability of the Xbox Series S, the only new console that can semi-reliably be found on store shelves. That said, Microsoft’s victory is a somewhat hollow one, as console sales were down as a whole in February due to availability issues. According to the NPD Group, North American hardware sales were down 27 percent year-on-year in February, and the situation was even worse in Europe, with console sales down 32 percent....
