Today, the company is releasing Windows 11 Cumulative Update Build 22567.200 (KB5012432). Note that this isn’t for users of public Windows 11, but only for the Dev Channel Insiders who are testing the upcoming features of the operating system for the Windows maker. The builds in Dev Channel can be unstable and aren’t advised to be installed on primary machines. As reported by Flat2VR, modder PureDark has been working to introduce NVIDIA DLSS support to the three games. A new video has also been shared, showcasing how DLSS will improve not only performance but also visual quality in Skyrim. Very impressive results, considering this is still a very early implementation. Master modder PureDark has been working on adding DLSS to VR games like a madman. He just got DLSS working in Skyrim which will improve both performance (which means room for more graphics mods) + look much sharper than the blurry TAA pic....

Qualcomm Could Unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 a Good Two Weeks Before the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 From Last Year The Snapdragon Summit is an annual conference where Qualcomm showcases the latest technologies that it has been working on, including one chipset that will fuel future Android flagships. On this occasion, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is expected to be found in premium handsets of 2023, and according to the San Diego chip maker’s events page, the Snapdragon Summit will be held between November 14-17....

As part of its launch campaign for the world’s largest rocket, Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) is continuing to test its equipment in Boca Chica, Texas. SpaceX is building its Starship rocket at the Texas facilities, as it aims towards developing a vehicle that is capable of taking humans to Mars - a foundational goal of the company that was set up by Elon Musk in 2002. It moved Starship’s latest booster, Booster 7, to the launch pad on Friday following which the 200-ton rocket was lifted by a crane on the launch pad....

Electric vehicle billionaire Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet service is out with another unique addition to its warranty coverage. Starlink is now warning users to be wary of dinosaurs damaging its equipment, advising users that should such damage occur, then they will not be covered under warranty protection. SpaceX ships out user terminals, commonly known as dishes, and routers to customers who have signed up for Starlink coverage in their areas, and its service has previously also stated in its warranty documents that disputes which might arise on Martian soil or on the way to the red planet will not be governable by laws applicable on Earth - a tongue in cheek reference to SpaceX’s aim of establishing a human presence on Mars through its Starship next generation launch vehicle system....

Well, the Steam Deck is now arriving in actual players’ hands, and it seems analog stick drift hasn’t been completely eradicated. Already, there are a number of first-hand reports on Reddit (here, here, and here) of drift, with the right camera stick seemingly being most affected. Now, of course, this is a small sample size and faulty hardware happens, but still, it’s disappointing to see these issues reported so soon given Valve’s previous assurances....

The recent Steam Hardware Survey shows that more users prefer hexa-core CPUs than the previous quad-core processors. Still, the data also reveals that users select processors with six or more physical cores (34.22% of users), while 33.74% use four cores in their gaming setups. Steam users widely used Quad-core processors, showing that 41.61% of users utilize those specific CPU designs. Additionally, octa-core processors have recently seen a surge in numbers, except for the 11 core CPU-based processors, which are more of a specialty configuration....

The trademark was filed in Europe earlier today and is currently being examined by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The trademark could mean that Bandai is working on a sequel to last year’s Tales of Arise. It could also be related to an expansion for the action RPG. Last year, however, the game’s developers did state that there are no plans for a direct sequel or an expansion....

Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover saga is adopting political overtones as the Republican Attorney General (AG) of Texas, Ken Paxton, has now launched a targeted investigation against the social media giant. To wit, as per the AG’s press statement, Twitter is now under investigation for violating the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. The AG went on to note: Paxton has now issued a Civil Investigative Demand (CID) to probe whether Twitter’s reporting on the quantum of fake accounts populating its platform is “false, misleading, or deceptive” under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act....
